Who are we?

 

The Hays Soccer Club consists of individuals and families that have a passion for soccer. We believe that participating in youth sports can lead to immediate and long-term benefits for youth, their families, and communities. These benefits are not only physical health, but mental, emotional, and social. Hays Soccer Club offers a more competitive level of play for those interested in developing their skills to the next level. Your child will have the opportunity to grow technically and socially with a consistent coach and team.


Is the Hays Soccer Club right for my child?

Hays Soccer Club is right for any child that has an interest in soccer. We accept all skill levels. We are looking for families who are committed to helping their child develop their skills on and off the field. We are currently looking for girls and boys with birth years 2010-2017.


How long is a soccer season?

A soccer year consists of fall and spring seasons. Fall season starts in August and will end mid-October thru early November. Spring season practices will start in February and end in May.  Most teams practice 2 per week. (each team may differ slightly)

How much will it cost for my child to play?

There is a yearly carding fee of $55 per player. Tournament fees vary, and will be split between all players on the team. Fundraising opportunities are available to help offset the purchase of uniforms, tournament fees, and travel costs. 


Where are the tournaments?

Tournaments usually consist of 2 games on Saturday and 1-2 games on Sunday. Hays Soccer Club participates at tournaments in Salina, Wichita, Topeka, Manhattan, Lawrence, and the Kansas City area.


Required equipment

Each player will be required to have 2 sets of uniforms consisting of top, shorts, and socks. Uniforms will remain the same each season and will only need to be purchased once your child outgrows them. They are required to have shin guards, cleats, and their own ball. 



Who are the coaches?

Coaches are volunteers. They must complete a safe sport online class and pass a background check.
